A RL Winston San Francisco-era bamboo fly rod, 7' 1/2, 2-piece, 1-tip, and built for what feels like a #3. Serial #8359. Mint unused condition. Medium fast action. The cane is a wheat straw color and the nodes are done in a three up pattern. The wraps are putty with burgundy edges at the keeper and ferrules. Carbide stripper and chrome snake guides. The grip is 5 1/2" long and styled to a half wells profile. The reel seat is mortised cork with an aluminum ring and pocket cap and a black bottom cap. The rod bag is red cloth with a sewn-on Winston San Francisco label. The rod tube has about 20% of the Winston label intact.
